What is Tonyte?
Tonyte helps you discover events, join plans, and meet people nearby while traveling or living in a city.
Is Tonyte free?
Yes, core features like discovering events, joining plans, and chatting are free.
Who can see my profile?
Users can see your profile when you interact with them through chats, plans, events, or shared profile links.
What is a plan?
A plan is a casual meetup created by a user, such as coffee, BBQ, sightseeing, games, or going out.
Who can create plans?
Any signed-in user can create a community plan.
What happens when I join a plan?
You may be added to the plan's attendee list and get access to the plan chat.
Can I leave a plan?
Yes, normal participants can leave a plan. Organizers cannot leave their own plan unless they delete it.
Can an organizer remove me from a plan?
Yes. Organizers can remove people from their own plans to manage safety and comfort.
What happens if I am removed from a plan?
You cannot rejoin that plan, but you can still view the chat and report the plan or specific users if needed.
Who can message me?
People can message you through matches, event chats, or plan chats.
Why can’t I send messages in a chat?
You may no longer be an active participant, or you may have been removed from that plan/chat.
Can I report someone?
Yes. You can report users, plans, events, or chat behavior if something feels unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
Is my exact location visible?
No. Location is used to show nearby events and plans. Your exact live location is not shown to other users.
Can I edit my profile?
Yes. You can update your name, city, bio, photos, and interests anytime.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile Settings -> Delete Account.
